Joel Hargis, age 57, of Pikeville, TN died Monday, March 16, 2020 at UT Medical Center.
He attended New Martin Church of God.
He was preceded in death by his infant son, Brandon Hargis; brother, Frankie Hargis; and grandparents.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Hargis of Pikeville; daughter, Shasta (T.J.) Morgan of Maryville; son, Adam Hargis of Pikeville, TN; step-children, Jessica Hall of Pikeville and James (Courtney) Hall of Dunlap; 8 grandchildren; parents, Franklin D. and Opal Hargis; sisters, Linda Stevens of Monterey, Wanda Abblett of Nashville, Vicky England of Clarkrange; brothers, Barry (Deborah) Hargis and Ritchie (Jackie) Hargis of Clarkrange; sister-in-law, Lisa Hargis; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 21, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. CDT at Mundy Funeral Home, 6853 S. York Hwy., Clarkrange, TN. Visitation at Mundy Funeral Home will be from 12:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. on March 21, 2020. Burial will be in Campground Cemetery, Clarkrange, TN. Online condolences can be made at reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements are by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, 1171 Main Street, Pikeville, TN. Visitation at Putnam-Reed Funeral Home will be Friday, March 20, 2020 from 5:00-9:00 p.m. CDT.
