Alene Seals, age 91, of Dunlap, TN passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2020 in the St. Thomas West Medical Center in Nashville. She attended the Cagle Community Church and Mt. Pleasant Congregational Methodist Church and loved to sing in church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and also loved to bake.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton Alvin Seals; son, Edwin Michael Seals.
She is survived by her daughter, Solima (Wayne) Grissom, McMinnville; son Clayton O. (Jeanna) Seals, Manchester; five grandchildren, Tonya and Steve Grissom, Kevin and Kerry Seals and Angela Leftwich; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; two sisters, Rachel McDowell, Kodak, TN and Abigail Wilson, GA; several nieces and nephews and a large church family.
Funeral services will be held Saturday 2:00 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Darrel Nance and Rev. Josh Seals officiating. Burial will be in the Cagle-Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Online Condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements are by Standefer-Reed Funeral Home, 50 May Road, Dunlap, TN. The family will receive friends Friday 4:00 p.m. CDT to 8:00 p.m. CDT.
