Billy Charles Eggert, 87, of Whitwell, TN, died on Tuesday, January 21, 2020, in a local health care facility. He was a former coal miner and employee of Rockwell/Crane Enamel. Billy was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ethel Ross Eggert; first wife, Katherine Bell Layne Eggert; second wife Edna "Sue" Cates Eggert; son, Billy "Steve" Eggert; brothers, George Jr., H.B., Howard, James, Jimmy, and Luther Eggert; sisters, Annie Bone, Ellen Mears, Kathern Castle, and Maude Rollins. He is survived by his daughter, Paula (Tim) Powell, of Chattanooga, TN; sister, Reva Kilgore of Whitwell, TN; grandchildren, Katherine "Kathy" Eggert Stewart, of Myrtle Beach, SC and Bridget Eggert Pugh, of Cookeville, TN; great grandchildren, Clay Easterly, Tanner Stewart, Weston Pugh, and Britton Pugh; great great grandchildren, Payslee and Preslee Easterly. Funeral Services will be held in the funeral home chapel at Noon CST, on Friday, January 24, 2020, with Brother Michael Shrum officiating. Burial will follow in Whitwell Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm CST on Thursday, January 23, 2020. Online Condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com.
