Obituary of Cecil Corvin

Cecil Corvin, age 82, of Pikeville, Tennessee, was a born-again believer in Jesus Christ who went out into eternity holding the hand of his Savior on Monday, December 30, 2019.
He was a lifelong resident of Bledsoe County, being born and raised on the family farm that he operated his entire life. After more than 30 years of service, Cecil retired from Bledsoe Correctional Complex where he worked as Farm Manager of the Agricultural Division.
He enjoyed family and his many friends, laughing and visiting with each one as often as possible.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Sue (Carman) Corvin; parents, Carl and Floya (Curtis) Corvin; and brothers, Robert and Leon Corvin.
He is survived by his son, Dwayne (Dulci) Corvin of Pikeville; grandchildren, Marian, Andrew, Elaina and Reagan; sister, Phyllis Cunningham of Pikeville; very special friend, Sheryl DeBord; and cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. CST in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Wesley’s Chapel Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements are by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, 1171 Main Street, Pikeville, TN. Visitation will be held Friday, January 3, 2020 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. CST and Saturday, January 4, 2020 from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. CST. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Gideons.
