Obituary of Carlos Duane Brown
With deepest sorrow we announce that Carlos Duane Brown, age 39, our most beloved son, brother, family member and friend passed suddenly Saturday, November 23, 2019. He was of The Church of God Faith and served in The United States Army. Duane was an employee of Wilkey Roofing Company. He was preceded in death by his father, Carlos Odell Brown. Duane had a passion for music and was a gifted and talented musician that played in several bands throughout his life.
Duane will be missed everyday by his mother, Mabel Lee Brown; sister, Cynthia Dolores Brown; nephew, Matthew Nicholas Brown; niece, Chaylea Christianna Palmer; great-niece, Haven Calaye Ewton; family and friends. Those that knew Duane, even just a little, lost a shining light in their lives.
A graveside service will be held Friday, November 29, 2019 at 1:00 pm CST at Collier Cemetery with Rev. David Morgan officiating. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements by Standefer-Reed Funeral Home, 50 May Road, Dunlap. Family will receive friends Thursday, 2:00-6:00 pm and Friday, 11:00 am-12:30 pm CST.
