Obituary of Dorothy Jane Dunson
Dorothy Jane Dunson, age 77, of Pikeville, Tennessee, died Thursday, November 7, 2019, with family by her side.
Dorothy enjoyed gardening and canning vegetables to share with family and friends and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be remembered as a loving and generous soul and greatly missed by many.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Neil Dunson; parents, Henry and Nancy Lewis; brothers, Franklin (Dora) Lewis, Ernest Lewis and Donnie Lewis; and sister-in-law, Faye Lewis.
Her story lives on through her son, Mitchell (Alfreida) Brewer; daughters, Ronda (Johnny) Anderson and Sharon (Kenneth) Bunch; brother, Henry L. “Mood” Lewis; sister-in-law, Angie Lee Lewis; nine grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. CST in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Steve Haston officiating. Burial will be in Blackburn Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements are by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, 1171 Main Street, Pikeville, TN. Visitation will be held Friday, November 8, 2019 from 5:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. CST.
