Obituary of James Claude Beasley

   James Beasley, age 80, of Pikeville, TN, died Saturday, September 28, 2019.  He was of the Church of God faith.  He worked for Leonard Oakes Tree Trimming Service.  He retired from building bridges.  He was an avid deer hunter and fisherman and loved to play horseshoes.

   He was preceded in death by his wife, JoNelda Beasley; son, Michael Beasley; brothers, Willie, Mable Lee and Mac Beasley; and parents, W. Price Beasley and Layer Watson Beasley.

   He is survived by his daughter, Angie (RJ) Johnson McClure of Dayton, TN; grandchildren, Jessyca (CJ) Angel of Pikeville, Dawson Delong, Jaden, Jordan and Xander McClure; great-grandchild, Rachael Angel; siblings, Mella Sue Beasley Fortin of CA, Kender Beasley of Spencer, TN, Mollie (Otis) Beasley Denton of Birchwood, TN, Lucinda Beasley Myers of McMinnville, TN, Lutishie (Charles) Beasley Clark of TX, Beulah Beasley Walker of Spencer, TN and Price Beasley, Jr. of Pikeville, TN; and several nieces and nephews.

   Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 2, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. C.D.T. at Mooneyham Church of God.  Burial will be in Watson Chapel Cemetery.  Online condolences can be made at reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements are by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, 1171 Main Street, Pikeville, TN. Visitation will be held Monday, September 30, 2019 from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. C.D.T. and Tuesday, October 1, 2019 from 11:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Visitation will be Wednesday, October 2, 2019 from 9:00 a.m.- time of service at Mooneyham Church of God.
