  Virgil Dwayne Swafford, age 86, of Pikeville, TN, died Thursday, August
22, 2019. He was a Southern Baptist preacher for over 60 years, and a U.S.
Army Veteran.
   He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy L. Swafford; daughter,
Linda S. Smith; sisters, Lucille Wyatt and Gladys Hitchcox; brothers,
Curtis Swafford and Harold Swafford.
   He is survived by his grandchildren, Tammy W. Sapp of Pikeville and
Dwayne L. Smith of Crossville and several other grandchildren; several great-grandchildren;   sister, Wanda Thomas of Crossville; brother, J.E. Swafford of Pikeville; and
several nieces and nephews.
   Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. CDT
in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Vaughn Dunn officiating.  Burial
will be in Worthington Cemetery.  Online condolences can be made at
reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements are by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, 1171
Main Street, Pikeville, TN. Visitation will be Monday, August 26, 2019
from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. CDT and Tuesday, August 17, 2019 from 1:00
p.m.-3:00 p.m..
