Obituary of Josie Mae Rainey
Josie Mae Rainey, age 81, of Pikeville, TN, died Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Memorial Hospital. She was of the Church of God faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Rainey; parents, Charles and Neva Webb; grandchildren, Dennis and Marcella Sullivan and Clayton Wayne Hankins; and brothers, James, Charles and Tom Webb.
She is survived by her children, Calvin (Karen) Hankins, Spencer, TN, Evalene Summers, Dunlap, TN, Johnny Ray (Patty) Hankins, Pikeville, TN, Annette (Terry) Johnson, Pikeville, TN, Cathy (Darrell) Moffitt, Spencer, TN, Elaine (Wayne) Underwood, Pikeville, TN and Harold Rainey, Pikeville, TN; grandchildren, Jason and Calvin Lynn Hankins, Lacy Clendenen, Tonya Herron, Renea Cunningham, Chandler Hankins, John and Josh Johnson, Zachary and Ethan Underwood, Leah Johnson, Kadie Buck and Lauren Miller; 27 great-grandchildren; 1 great- great-great grandchild; sisters, Joyce Prater, Spencer, TN, Wilma Webb, Spencer, TN and Nancy Holloway, Pikeville, TN; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel with Bro. David Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Rainey Dill Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements are by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, 1171 Main Street, Pikeville, TN. Visitation will be Friday, April 5, 2019 from 4:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. CDT and Saturday from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. CDT.
