To the Reece family, I am so sorry to hear of Norlee’s passing. I first met Norlee and Sara some 33 years ago and from the moment we met we we buddies! So many great times at the dog shows as well as away. Norlee always welcomed you with open arms and heart and was always there to lend a helping hand with whatever the project. A special person with an exceptional way with the animals he so loved and enjoyed.
Norlee was that best friend you could not talk to for years and yet pick up the phone and start a conversation like time had stood still. Last time I spoke to him he told me of his failing eye site and how he had given up judging and we joked that maybe this was a good time for him to be judging. : )
Rusty, Lee and “Ash” you are in my prayers and I hope you find comfort in having this man as your Father and Grandfather. He is one of the best!
I know Norlee and Sara are both rejoicing, smiling and joking together because that is what they did so well when they were here with us.
Once in a lifetime a Norlee comes into your life and for that I am truly blessed, his understanding, willing to mentor, open heart and compassion for animals and mankind have provided lifelong guidance to me.
Miss you Mr. Reece.
Terry “Big Guy” Bridges

Our deepest sympathy is extended to you in the passing of a truly wonderful man, Norlee Reece. He was a friend who was compassionate, kind, caring, understanding, helpful, and insightful. He truly cared about everyone and went out of his way to make people feel welcome. He had a great sense of humor and loved to share old dog stories that would keep you laughing on and on. Norlee had that friendly face and warm smile that knew no stranger. The St. Bernard world has lost an amazing man who did all he could to improve the breed in vast ways. He will be missed, but he will never be forgotten. Blessings of Peace, Victor and Jackie Dingus

I am a better person today for knowing Norlee.
Sweetest man God ever made. We all will miss him but he is with Ms. Sara now and she's probably asking him "what took you so long..go X those dogs so we can go eat!" Loved them both.

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this very sad time. James 3:13 says, "Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom." and James 3:17 says, "..the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere." Norlee was a peacemaker, I believe.

What a wonderful person Norlee was! Glad he was peacefully reunited with his sweet Sara and they are romping with all their past dogs now! I grew up in a Saint show home (La Casa St. Bernards) and they were both beloved friends of the family! Norlee had the gift of "dog hands" and presented all his dogs beautifully in the ring. He made it fun! He made the Working Group rock! Much love to his family! Know that he is super happy now because as we know... ALL dogs go to Heaven!

Norlee was one of my favorite people to see at a dog show. In a building full of people trying to be something they are not, Norlee was refreshingly just himself. He was a dog man, he was an expert in any kind of animal husbandry, he was a friend ready to help out at any time,he was a gifted story teller, and he was content to be Norlee Reese. And why not? Norley had the kind of character most of us only aspire to.
I know Norlee was crazy about Sara and I know he loved his spot on the mountain, I only wish he had more healthy years with both.
I am sorry for the loss of your father, and I am sad for the the loss the dog show world now will endure. If it helps at all I want you to know that I am one person whose life was enriched by seeing Norlee on the weekends. His memory will stay with me for the rest of my life.

Norlee you were the kindest person I EVER met in the show ring. You took me under your wing and showed me how to show a Saint. You rooted for me, and wanted me to get a win....even though you wanted it too. I will never forget your advice....just have fun....and let the beast do all the work.....you will be dearly missed by many. You always called Cary and I, "sis"...the sisters will miss you. The sisters will always cherish you!

I was so sad to hear about Norlee’s passing. I was honored to call him my friend. I know I will never meet a more kind and honorable soul than Norlee. We met thru our love of dogs and he gave me lots of tips on handling over the years. I loved seeing him at the shows and spending time with him. He will be missed by so many. My prayers are with the family during this difficult time. I know in my heart that Norlee is having a wonderful reunion with his beloved Sara.
