Obituary of James Edward Dodson
James Edward Dodson, age 74, of Pikeville, TN, died Wednesday, November 28, 2018.
He was a United States Army veteran serving in Vietnam.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Pauline Dodson; granddaughter, Hailey Bug Sweeny-Freeman; and brother-in-law, Bill Howser.
He is survived by his wife, Janet Dodson of Pikeville; daughter, Ariel Freeman of Crossville; step-daughter, Daphne Freeman; and step-son, Jonathan Freeman; grandchildren, Quentin Eli Freeman, Ava Jade Freeman, Adalyn Grace Freeman, Alaina Davis and several other grandchildren; sister, Bonnie Howser of Pikeville; special cousin, Vickie Dodson; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, November 30, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel with Rev. David Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Cagle Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements are by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, 1171 Main Street, Pikeville, TN. Visitation will be Thursday, November 29, 2018 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. CDT.
