Obituary of George Edward Songer
George Edward Songer, age 74, of Dunlap, died Monday, October 1, 2018.
He was a retired United States Air Force veteran, serving in the Vietnam War.
He was preceeded in death by his parents, Elga and Willie Mae Songer.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Songer of Dunlap; son, Nathan (Cindy) Songer of Dunlap; two grandchildren, Mac & G.W. Songer; sisters, Willene Johnson of Dunlap; Louise Islam of GA and Patty Shaffer of North Carolina; brother, Lawrence Songer of Lawrenceville, GA; and several nieces & nephews.
There will be a graveside service Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Rainey-Dill Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements are by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, 1171 Main Street, Pikeville, TN.
