Obituary of Evelyn Louise Swafford

Evelyn Louise Swafford, age 66, of Rhea County, Tennessee, went to be with the Lord,  June 1, 2018.  She was of the Baptist faith. Evelyn never left home until she read one chapter in her Bible. She was born July 21, 1951 in Battle Creek, Michigan, and graduated from Rhea County High School in 1979. Evelyn retired from La-Z-Boy after 37 years.  She enjoyed working in her flowers, spending time with her brother and sisters, traveling, and antiquing  

  She is preceded in death by her parents, Carlos C Swafford and Nonive Felts Swafford; sisters Shirley Wendland, Reva (Mack) Swafford and Diane Cranfill .

 Left to cherish her memory are her sister, Velma (Riley) Frady and brother Micheal K. Swafford, both of Pikeville; best friend Sue Smith, Sale Creek, TN; nieces and nephews, Manfred, Tonya, Kim, Tina, Johnny, Jimmy, Jason, Elton, Eric, Chasity, Jeremiah, and Katie; she had a great love for her 26 great-nieces and nephews.

  Funeral services will be held Monday, June 4, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jimmy Jewel officiating. Burial will be in Summer City Cemetery.  Online condolences can be made at reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements are by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, 1171 Main Street, Pikeville, TN. Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. CDT and Monday from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. CDT.
