Obituary of Ethelene Smith

  Ethelene Smith, age 87, of Pikeville, TN died at home Saturday, March 24, 2018.  She was a member of the Mt. Crest Church of God of Prophecy.  She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.  She loved the Lord and lived her life faithfully working toward the reward she has received.  She was loved by all who knew her, and loved everyone.  She will be greatly missed.  Our loss is heaven's gain.

  She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Grace Mooneyham; sister, Melba Barker; brother, Leon McLemore; and granddaughter, Amber Goforth.

  She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Farrel Smith; children, Debra (Paul) Goforth, Layton (Kay) Smith, Cathy (Steve) Standefer and Clayton (Laura) Smith; grandchildren, Anthony (Jamie) Goforth, Alyson (Tom) Angel, Steven (Debbi) Standefer, Sarah Grace (Zachary) Olendorf, Silas Standefer, Emilee Smith, Zac, Starr, Shane and Tasee Goforth and Morgan Smith; great-grandchildren, Melissa (Benjie) Songer and Blake (Shonda) Angel, Tabitha and Ryan Goforth, Dustin, Zac, Wes and Dalton Minton, Raney and Mary Cate Goforth, Tristan and August Standefer, great-greatchildren, William Goforth, Jason, Seth and Meleah Songer, Noah Angel and Laken Minton.

  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Kenneth Norris and Bro. Doyle Ashburn.   Burial will be in Smith Cemetery.  Online condolences can be made at reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements are by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, 1171 Main Street, Pikeville, TN. Visitation will be Sunday from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. CDT and Monday from 10:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. CDT.
