Obituary of Ronald Dean Shoemate

Ronald Dean Shoemate, age 75, of Pikeville, TN died February 16, 2018.

  He was a veteran serving in the United States Air Force and a member of Mason Lodge #70   F & AM in Mason, Michigan.  He worked in the Department of Corrections in Michigan and Tennessee for over 30 years.  He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was devoted to his dogs.  He loved to work outdoors and enjoyed working in the garden.

  He was preceded in death by his sister, Delores Bunch; and brothers, Carl Shoemate and Wayne Shoemate.

  He is survived by his wife, Sandra Shoemate of Pikeville, TN; children, Donna (Everett) Wyatt of Pikeville, TN, Phyllis (Dwayne) Anderson of Pikeville, TN and Ronnie (Linda) Shoemate of Dayton, TN; grandchildren, Kristi Anderson, Marsha Worthington, Kelli Haston, Matt Holloway, and Ashley McSpadden; great-grandchildren, Dylan and Trinity Anderson, Tyler Beauregard, Dewley, Dallas and Daelyn Haston, Bayley McSpadden, Hank and Hadlee Worthington; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. CST in the funeral home chapel.  Burial will be in Humble Cemetery.  Online condolences can be made at reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements are by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, 1171 Main Street, Pikeville, TN. Visitation will be held Monday from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. CST.
