Obituary of Verna L Arney

     Verna Arney, 88, of Whitwell, TN, died Saturday, Feburary 3, 2018.   Born to the late Ben and Callie Brimer Cantrell, Verna was a long time member of Sulphur Springs Methodist Church and was active in The Order of the Eastern Star. Verna was also preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Conner and Joe Arney; sisters, Louise Coppinger, Elsie Harwood, and Florene Cantrell, and nephew, Edward Coppinger.

       Verna leaves daughters, Pam Odom (Mike) and Lenora Berry; son, Jim Conner (Rose); grandchildren; Shaun Milligan, Gina Holloway, Norman Semanik (Natasha), Gretchen Herron (Sean), Jessica Semanik, Jason Semanik, Chris Mcharge (Kristin), Kelly Walker (Chris), PJ Walker (Scott), Sharon Dailey, 14 great grandchildren and special niece Charline Dowell, to cherish her memory.

     A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2018, at 6:00 p.m. CST, in the funeral home chapel.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. CST until 6:00 p.m. CST.  Verna asked that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to The Gideons International at P.O.
