Obituary of Walter Burton
Walter "Junior" Burton, age 95, of Pikeville, TN died January 23, 2018.
He was a member of Lee Station Baptist Church. He served the U.S. Army in WWII in the South Pacific.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Burton; brothers, Warren Burton, Kenneth Burton, Richard Burton; sisters, Dorothy Burton and Margie Green; and parents, Walter and Ada Burton.
He is survived by his son, David Burton; daughter, Joyce (Bill) Wolfe; granddaughter, Rebecca (Daniel) George; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. CST in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Bill Wolfe officiating. Burial will be in Wesley's Chapel Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements are by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, 1171 Main Street, Pikeville, TN. Visitation will be held Friday from 10:00 a.m. -8:00 p.m. CST.
