We send our deepest and sincere condolences and love to family and friends. James was the kindest man, welcoming us whenever we had the chance to visit our retirement property in Dunlap. He insisted on continuing to mow our property, just down the road from his home, and we looked forward to seeing him, listening to his stories and just enjoying his company. We will miss him so very much, and know how deeply felt his absence is impacting not only his family, but the community at-large. Thanks be to God for his life, and for the beautiful memories we hold in our hearts. Love you Grandpa.

Sorry to hear about James passing away. I first met him in 1975 when I was a State Trooper working a car wreck. He responded as a Rescue Worker. It would be hard (if you could) to find any person who gave more to his fellow man. May God comfort the family as only he can in times like this.

Mr Burch was a great man and was always helpful to my family and all of the folks in the TTT during the early days of Hang Gliding in the Sequatchie Valley. I am sad to read that he has passed but know that he was a strong man that cared for everyone and that the good lord will welcome him.

My husband came to Dunlap in 1994 and bought the property on the corner of East Valley and Old York Hwy,James touched our lives from the first.I went to work at North Valley ER and became good friends with James and Stacy.James was such a good- hearted man he would mow our field and would not take a cent.I will greatly miss this wonderful man.God bless and give comfort to all his family.RIP James
