~~ Bill Howser, age 71, of Pikeville, Tennessee, died Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at his home. He was a member of Pikeville Church of God. He was a member of the Carpenter's Union #74 and owned Howser Construction for many years. He worked for the Bledsoe County Sheriff's Department as a transportation officer and strived to make a difference in those entrusted to his care.
He was preceded in death by his daughter; Sherri Howser; parents, Earl and Elizabeth Howser; brothers, Harold, Earl and Frank Howser; and sisters, Margaret Sullivan, Judy Smith, Betty Pruitt and Lorene Brewer.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Howser of Pikeville, TN; daughter, Chris Howser of Chattanooga, TN; two granddaughters, Kali Savage of Dayton, TN; and Tayah Savage of Knoxville, TN; sisters, Mary Matthews of Pikeville, TN, and Elaine Richardson of Turkey Scratch, TN; brother, Randal (Jean) Howser of Pikeville, TN; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Nancy Cagle; and adopted granddaughter, Katie Cagle.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jim Whitaker, Rev. Ronny Colvard and Rev. James Dunn officiating. Burial will be in Summer City Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday from 11:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m. CDT and Saturday from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m..
