Obituary of Dorothy Jean Swafford
~~ Dorothy J. "Nanny Bo" Swafford, age 83, of Pikeville, Tennessee, died Monday, November 27, 2017. She was a long time member of Swafford's Chapel where she taught Sunday School. She was a former employee of Pikeville Elementary School.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Paul Swafford; siblings, John W. Tollett, Louise Swafford, Lee Tollett and Frank Tollett.
She is survived by her children, Robert P. (Teresa) Swafford of Crossville, TN and Sharon (Bobby) Anderson of Pikeville, TN; grandchildren, Amy Smith, Trevor D. (Whitney) Anderson, Thomas Anderson, JohnPaul Swafford and CaraBeth Swafford; great-grandchild, Haven R. Smith; sister-in-laws, Mary Angel Tollett and Agnes Shaver Tollett; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:00 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Doyle Ashburn and Jerry Swafford officiating. Burial will be in Worthington Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. The arrangements are by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, Pikeville, TN. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 2:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. CDT and Thursday from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m..
