Obituary of Frances "Podie" Angel
~~Frances "Podie" Angel, age 81, of Pikeville, Tennessee, died Friday, October 13, 2017. She was a member of Bethel Church of Christ and a loving mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Artie Mae Walker; brothers, Russell, Thomas and Wendell Walker; and sister, Rosa Lee Evans.
She is survived by her children, Ray (Polly) Angel of Pikeville, TN, Gail (JimmyDon) Layne of Dunlap, TN, Daney (Vickie) Angel of Union City, TN, Glenna (Tommy) Goins of Dunlap, TN, and Diane (Clay) Myers of Pikeville, TN; nine grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; sisters, Bessie Siever of Ooltewah, TN, and Wanda (Jimmy) Brown of Pikeville, TN; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel.
Burial will be in Blackburn Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. The arrangements are by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, Pikeville, TN. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. and Monday from 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m CDT.
