Obituary of Betty Lou Turner
~~Betty Lou Turner, age 74, of Pikeville, Tennessee, died at her home on Monday, May 29, 2017. She was a 1960 graduate of Bledsoe County High School. She attended West End Church of God. She was the owner/operator of Betty's Clip & Curl for over 50 years, a prior owner of Pikeville Flower Shop and a retired cosmetology instructor at Taft Youth Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Turner; and her father, John M. Johnson.
She is survived by her children, Sonyia (Stoney) Olendorf, Stephanie (Michael) Walling, Stacy (Tonya) Turner, all of Pikeville, TN and Randell Lee Barnes of CA; 10 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; mother, Ruth Johnson of Pikeville; sisters, Kaye (Sammy) Simmons of Dunlap, TN, Phyllis Shaver of Dayton, TN; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. CDT at West End Church of God with Bro. Danny Lee and Bro. Andy Smith officiating. Burial will be in Pikeville Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. The arrangements are by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, Pikeville, TN. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 12:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. CDT.
