Obituary of Mitchell "Shorty" Watson
~~Mitchell "Shorty" Watson, age 78, of Pikeville, Tennessee, died Wednesday, May 10, 2017.
He was preceded in death by his father, Huey Winfield Watson; mother, Mima Lee (Fisher) Watson; brothers, Huey Alan "Rawhide" Watson; Glenn Greer "Doc" Watson and Henry C. Watson; and sister, Hallie Watson.
He is survived by his two daughters, Debbie (Eddie) Seals of Pikeville and Frances (Derrick) Herd of Spencer; three sons, Larry Watson and Nathan (Jeannie) Watson of Pikeville and Wesley Watson of Cookeville; nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; brothers, John Watson, George Watson and Donnie (Paula) Watson; one sister, Illa Ann (Norman) Smith; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Tom and Juanita Paul, Tim Angel, Bill Dempsy and Ricky Reagan.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:00 a.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Danny Lee and Bro. Doug Cunningham officiating. Burial will be in Watson's Chapel Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. The arrangements are by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, Pikeville, TN. Visitation will be held Friday from 10:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. CDT..
