Clarence "Cuckle" Smith, age 82, of Pikeville, TN died March 10, 2017 at his home. He was a member of Bethel Church of Christ. He was retired from the Bledsoe Telephone Co-op. He was also a lifelong farmer and especially loved his vegetable garden.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Herman and Nelline Smith; and brother, Jimmy (Alma) Smith.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jean Smith; son, Phillip Smith; granddaughters, Athena (J.C.) Rains and Kayla (Joey) Massey; great-grandchildren, Jace, Jadrian & Colt Rains, Jackson, Kynlei & Karilyna Massey, and Madison Smith; brothers, Paul (Margie) Smith, J.C. (Janie) Smith all of Pikeville; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. T.A. Smith officiating. The burial will be in Collier Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. The arrangements are by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, Pikeville, TN. Visitation will be held Saturday from 2:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. CST and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. CST.
