George Carr, age 75, of Crossville died Wednesday, June 29, 2016.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Millard and Eliza Carr; eight brothers, Howard Carr, Albert Carr, Kennith Carr, Pascal Carr, Fowler Carr, Tamage Carr, Raymond Wisener and Dennis Copeland; six sisters, Nannie May, Dessie and Carrie Carr, Bobbie Hartman, Mabel Hill and Mary Francis Copeland.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 43 years, Mayme Ellen Carr; sons, John (Karen) Carr and Dewayne Carr; step-children, Geneva and Mack Mahan, Kenneth and Judy Brock and Bonnie and Donnie Brooks; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
There will be a memorial service Saturday, July 9, at 1:00 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Johnson Lewis Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, Hwy 127 South, Pikeville, TN.
