Kelly E Long, age 82, of Dunlap, TN died Saturday morning February 14, 2009. He had a passion for Blue Grass Music and played guitar, fiddle and bango. He was a retired school bus driver and long time employee of Cates Pharmacy and was preceded in death by his wife Berta Ruth Long; sisters, Wilma Camp Perkins, Edna Lewis; brothers, Jack, Douglas, Clyde and Huey Long.
He is survived by a daughter, Yvonne Long, Chattanooga; son, Richard (Patti) Long, Chattanooga; two grandchildren, Morgan and Maddux Long; two brothers, James "Doc" Long and Perry Allen Long; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m CST in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Tony Cates officiating. Burial will be in Rankin Cemetery. Family requests No Flowers, contributions can be made to Hospice of Chattanooga or American Heart Association. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com.
Arrangements by Putnam-Standefer-Reed Funeral Home, 50 May Road, Dunlap. Family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. CST and 6:00-8:00 p.m. CST.
