Ada Belle Brown, age 89, of Pikeville, died Tuesday evening, August 11, 2015.She was a lifetime member of New Harmony Freewill Baptist Church where she taught a primary Sunday School class up until her passing. Ada Belle wrote the New Harmony Happenings for the Bledsonian Banner, served as secretary and Chaplain for the Rigsby Vol. Fire Dept, and chaplain for the American Legion Post 66 Ladies Auxillary. She alsoserved on the Bledsoe County Election Commision. Ada was an avid gardener, and enjoyed sharing the vegetables she grew in her garden, and wasknown as the Egg Lady with her farm fresh eggs. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Myrtle Hancock Everett; great-granddaughter Breanna Smith; sisters, Roberta Everett, Dimple Higgins, and Laura Shaw; brothers, Wallace, Walter, and Duell Everett; step-grandson, Clint Black. Survivors include her husband of 71 years, J.C. Brown, daughter, Vickie (Garlan) Knox, Dayton; son Jeff (Carol) Brown, Dayton; grandchildren, Robby Smith, Brandi Smith, Holly Garland, Christie Goins, April Van Dusen, Scarlet Matthew, Matthew Brown; step-granddaughter Cheryl Jones; great-grandchildren, Dustin, Kaleb, Brandalyn, Josiah, Abigail, Madalyn, Luke, Ella, Sully, Vince, Hannah, Ariel, Alia, Cailyn, Carli, Gavin, Kelsey, Kiara, Kolby, Hudson; great-great-grandchildren, Emmary, Anslee; sister, Katie Tomlinson; brothers, James Robert, and Ralph Everett; several nieces and nephews. Services will be Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Aaron Revis and Bro. Rick Mooneyham officiating. Burial will be in Rigsby Cemetery.
