Margaret Kelly Wilson, age 96, of Dunlap, TN passed away Tuesday morning February 3, 2009. She was born September 29, 1912 to the late Annie and Will Kelly also of Dunlap. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Hayden Wilson Sr.; sisters, Thelma McWilliams, Ruth Anderson and Betty Johnson.
Margaret taught English, Civics, Journalism and served as a librarian in Sequatchie and Bledsoe Counties for 37 years after her graduation from Tennessee Tech in 1936 to her retirement from Bledsoe County High School in 1973. She was a member of Welch Chapel United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son, Hayden (Sandy) Wilson Jr; brother, James Kelly, sister, Irene Griffith all of Dunlap; 3 grandchildren, Joanna Michelle (Dan) Rigsby, Matthew William (Scarlett) Wilson and Mark Charles-Hayden (Dawn) Wilson; 3 great-grandchildren, Haley and Brenden Rigsby and Orion Wilson.
Funeral service will be held Thursday at 1:00 p.m. CST in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Pikeville Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com.
Arrangements by Putnam-Standefer-Reed Funeral Home, 50 May Road, Dunlap. Family will receive friends Wednesday from 4:00-9:00 p.m. CST.
