Obituary of Betty Louise Boles

Betty Williams Boles, age 84, of Dunlap, TN, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2015 at her home. She was born June 4, 1931. She was a member of Dunlap First Baptist Church where she sung in the adult choir and played handbells until her health failed. She served on the reception committee for several years. A member of Dunlap Charter Chapter of American Business Women's Association since 1983 where she served as treasurer and on committees. Betty was also awarded "Woman of the Year". Betty retired from Standefer-Reed Funeral Home after 28 and a half years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hervey M. and Ethel Teeters Williams; brother, Lewis Williams; sister, Jessie Ricketts; and great nephew, Bryan Branson. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Earl Boles; brother, James Williams; sister, Lorene Williams; nephews, Ron (Terri) Ricketts and Mike (Cynthia) Houser; nieces, Lynn (Mike) Humphreys and Karen Clark; step-son, Tommy (Shirley) Boles; step-daughters, Brenda (Jerry) Treadway, Darlene (Terry) Whitaker and Nancy (Gary) Delozier; special friends that are like daughter and granddaughter, Melinda Summers and Raven McCarver; several great-nephews and great-nieces; step-grandchildren; cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held Sunday 2:00 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Jeremy Byrd officiating. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery.
