Charles W. Gaston, age 74 of Red Bank, died Friday, January 2, 2009. He was a retired policeman with the Chattanooga Police Department where he served for 25 years. He is preceded in death by his father, Barney G. Gaston; mother, Mary Edna Brown; two children Joshua and Caleb; one grandson, Jeffery M. Bonner; wife, Leota A Hyde Gaston.
He leaves behind nine children, Terry (Kathy) Jones, Chattanooga, Greg (Beverly) Gaston, Steve (Brenda) Gaston, Brad Gaston, Billy (Linda) Gaston, all of Dunlap, Kade Gaston, Panama City, Fl.; Mary (Tony) Layne, Mel Gina Gaston and Kim Smith all of Dunlap; twenty-one grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Services will be Monday at 1:00 pm CST in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Tommy Tillman officiating. Burial will be in Camp Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com.
