Ledia "Omie" Johnson, age 86 of Signal Mountain, died Friday night December 12, 2008 after a long health struggle. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and a faithful to Jesus to the fullest extent. She was a long time member of the Community Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Claude Edward Johnson; parents John Henry and Celiebell Holland Johnson; sister Versie Whittenburg.
Survivors include son Leroy (Dian) Johnson, Signal Mountain; granddaughters Patricia (Sherman) Ford, Melanie and Marcala Johnson; grandsons Michael Johnson and Marty Thomas; several nieces and nephews. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday 1:00 p.m. CST in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in the Cagle Cemetery. Arrangements are by Putnam-Standefer-Reed Funeral Home, 50 May Road, Dunlap.
The family will receive friends from 2-8 p.m. CST Sunday and 4-8 p.m. CST Monday.
