Brian "Pie" Griffith, age 47, of Powell's Cross Roads, passed away peacefully with family and friends by his bedside Monday February 16, 2015. Brian will be missed by his many family and friends along with his wit and dry humor.
He was preceded in death by his father Tom Griffith; paternal grandparents, Grady and Fannie Griffith; maternal grandparents R.A. and Hallie Griffith; special niece Kennedy Griffith.
He is survived by his beloved mother, Evelyn Griffith; sister, Robin (Scotty) Golston, Soddy-Daisy; nephew, Jeremy Golston, Knoxville; niece Kristen (Josh) Bain, Hixson; uncle, Wayne (Toni) Griffith, Powell's Cross Roads; aunts, Virginia Barber, Jasper, Patsy Baker, Rome, GA, Edwina Griffith, Whitwell, and Joan Schmidt, Gallatin; several cousins and many special friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday 2:00 p.m. CST at the Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church with Rev. Brenda Woods and Rev. Cecil Baxter officiating. Burial will be in the Red Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends 4:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday and 4:00-8:00 p.m. Friday.
