Lowney Lewis LeBlanc, a native of Louisiana and recent resident of Dunlap, passed away at the age of 90 on Thursday, January 8, 2015 in Dunlap, TN. Mr. LeBlanc was a veteran of the US Army and served as a mechanic and French interpreter for the Allied Forces in Europe during WWII. Mr. LeBlanc was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend to many and will be greatly missed. Survivors include his beloved wife of 72 years, Bonnie Childress LeBlanc; 8 children: Linda L. Kelly, Lon P. LeBlanc, Denise L. Scifres, Celeste L. Brookshire, Alan L. LeBlanc,Noel D. LeBlanc, Beth L. Matthews of Dunlap and Jennifer L. LeBlanc. Mr. LeBlanc was also the proud grandfather of 19 grandchildren 15 great grandchildren. He is also survived by 2 brothers and and 4 sisters. Mr. LeBlanc was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, 1 sister and 1 granddaughter. Funeral Mass will be held on January 17, 2015, at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church in Gonzales, LA, at 10:00 a.m. Condolences may be expressed online at www.reedfamilyfh.com.
