Johnny “Pap" Griffith age 74, of Sequatchie, TN., died November 6, 2008 at his home. He served in the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his parents James and Lilly Griffith, son Joseph Griffith, six brothers Zenith, Jessie Lee, James Jr., Tommy, Donnie and William Griffith. He is survived by three daughters; Tammy Griffith, Sequatchie. Debbie Smith, Chattanooga, and Mary Myers, East Ridge; two sons Johnny Jr. Dayton and Johnny James Griffith, Georgia. Eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ethel Mae Powell, Jo Jones, and Faye Jones all of Whitwell; Brother Ralph Griffith, Sequatchie. Funeral services will be Saturday November 8, 2008 at 2:00PM CST in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Raymond Bryant officiating. Burial will be in Whitwell Memorial Cemetery.
