Obituary of Avis Griffith Worley

Avis Griffith Worley, age 76 of Whitwell died at her home on Monday, October 27. She was retired from the Marion County School System and was a member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her son Greg Worley, parents Albert and Maude Griffith, and brother Cotton Griffith.
Avis is survived by her husband Clayton L."Jack" Worley, a daughter Audrey (Randy) Grayson and son Rick (Debbie) Worley all of Whitwell; six grandchildren, Kelley Grayson, Tiffany ( Matt) Rogers, Tarrah Levan, Brooke Worley, Randi Griffith and Ryan Worley, and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother Elbert (Hannah) Griffith and six sisters Oma Griffith, Ollie (Troy) Tate, Olus Scissom, Agnes Scissom, Martha (Willie) Kilgore and Iva (Wes) Levan all of Whitwell; many nieces and nephews.
Services will be Wednesday at 1:00 pm CDT in the chapel with Minister Peter Wesson officiating. Burial will be in Griffith Creek Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements by Reed Funeral Home, 11675 Hwy 28, Whitwell, TN. Visitation will be Tuesday 6-9 pm CDT and 9am-1:00 pm Wednesday.
