Obituary of Rachel Cewillow Axmacher

Rachel Cewillow Axmacher, age 76, of Dunlap went to be with the Lord October 27, 2008. She was of the Baptist faith and a loving mother, grandmother great-grandmother, and sister. Preceding her in death were her husband George Elliott, Jr., parents Frank and Viola McCarver; sisters Opal Mealer and Etta Joyce McCarver; brother William McCarver.
Survivors include two daughters Joan Garnand, Ooltewah and Judy (Steve) Mahaffey, Harrison; two sons Jerry (Rose) Axmacher, N. C. and Jimmy (Sherry) Axmacher, Dunlap; eighteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; three sisters Naomi (Charles) Combs, Rossville, GA; Myrtal Whitsett, Russellville, KY, and Wilma (Gordon) Elliott, Philadelphia, MS; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Thursday 1:00 in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Eugene Kilgore officiating. Burial will be in the Cagle-Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
