John Harmon Pendergrass, age 82, of Pikeville died October 21, 2008. He was a member of Cold Springs Baptist Church. John served in the United States Navy during WW11 and was owner of Pendergrass grocery in the Cold Springs Community. Preceding him in death were his parents Willos and Stella Pendergrass and sister Frances Cox.
Survivors include his wife Floella "Bill" Pendergrass, Pikeville; two brothers Oral Pendergrass, LaGrange, Ga and Ernest Pendergrass, Dayton; sister Wilma (Glenn) Quarles, Harrison; several nieces and nephews. Services will be held in the funeral home chapel Thursday, October 23 at 1:00 pm CDT. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, Hwy 127 South, Pikeville, TN. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 22, 5-9 pm CDT.
