Dillard Griffith, age 86, of Dunlap, TN. died Tuesday night October 14, 2008. He was a member of Way of the Cross Baptist Church, Veteran of WWII and the American Legion and was preceded in death by his brother, Willard Griffith; two sisters, Lucille Moore and Pearl Mayes; grandson, Chad Griffith.
He is survived by his wife Olavene Griffith; 2 daughters, Dickie Sirracco, Atlanta, GA and Reba Cline, Dunlap; 2 sons, Butch (Sue) Griffith and Dustin (Misty) Griffith both of Dunlap; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; step-brother, Harley Martin, Signal Mt.; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be Friday at 1:00 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Lanny Tate officiating. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society. On line condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com.
Arrangements are by Putnam-Standefer-Reed Funeral Home, 50 May Road, Dunlap. Family will receive friends Thursday from 4:00-9:00 p.m. CDT.
