Virginia Roye Mitchell Morgan, 85, a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother, christian, and a true friend passed away Thursday, October 2, 2014.She was the seventh daughter of Roy and Anna Mitchell (deceased). Virginia Roye was a wonderful wife of Andrew J. Morgan for 59 years before he passed away; a loving mother to four children,Earl H. (Doris) Morgan, James M. "Mike" (deceased) (Delores) Morgan, Virginia K. (Dow) McGowan, Peggy Sue (Jim) Wells; a doting grandmother of five, Christopher M. Morgan, Garrett C. McGowan, Brandon K. Morgan, Amanda P. Meeks, and Angela D. Wells; a precious greatgrandmother of eleven, Lauren Morgan, Leah Morgan, Drew C. McGowan, Ella McGowan, Haley Tucker, Marissa Morgan, Arlon Morgan, Jaden Tate, Harley Meeks, Caden Goodrich, McKenzie Goodrich; but most importantly, a faithful christian to one God, and a member of Faith Baptist Church. She was also a special sister to three brothers (all deceased), Charles, James "Buddy" M, and Clyde Mitchell; eight sisters, Jean Gonda, Wilma Mitchell, Anna Mae Taylor, Jaunita Holmes, Jo Worthington, Lela Troglin, and Kay Evans, (all deceased), and the last living sister Sarah (Warren) Grasham; brother-in-law Eddy Evans, three sisters-in-law Judy Mitchell, Myree (Glenn)Morgan, Nell (Cecil) Morgan, and many special nieces and nephews. Virginia was a very hard worker in the home and outside the home. She worked in various factories as supervisor, retail sales manager, and in restaurants. She loved to be around people, going shopping, taking care of her dog, flowers, crocheting, reading and playing with her special great-grandchildren when they came to visit. She will be sadly missed by everyone that knew her. Service will be at Faith Baptist Church at 4:00 Saturday with Bro. Doyle Ashburn officiating. Burial will follow in Pikeville Cemetery.
