Wayne Barker, age 69 of Dunlap, TN died Saturday morning September 27, 2008 at his home with family and friends. He was the owner of Super Toys in Dunlap, TN, a member of the Route 66 and Good Guys Car Associations. He was a well known street rod builder and drag racer. He was preceded in death by his father Lewis Barker; brother Jerry Barker.
He is survived by a daughter Sherry (Shayne) Bickford, Pikeville; two grandsons Jared and Drew Barker; Mother, Mary Ellen Barker; brother, Stanley (Debbie) Barker; nieces and nephews, Garrett, Karen and griffin Barker, Christa, Jeremy, Carter and Emma Bradford, Corey, Christie and Ethan Barker all of Dunlap. In Lieu of flowers the family request contributions be made to the Sequatchie County Cancer Support Network or the charity of your choice.
Funeral services will be held Monday 1:00 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Terry Barker and Rev. Tom Tucker officiating. Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Cemetery. Condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements are by Putnam-Standefer-Reed Funeral Home, 50 May Road, Dunlap.
The family will receive friend from 1-9 p.m. CDT Sunday.
