Alfred Frank Beavert, age 79, of Memphis, TN died Wednesday morning September 24, 2008 after a short illness. He was a retired Navy Pilot and a 50 year Mason. He was preceded in death by his wife Inez Beavert.
He is survived by 2 daughters, Robin Albaugh and Marilyn Hollahan both of Memphis; 2 sons, David Smith, Nashville and Edwin Smith, Tupelo, MS; 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Howard Beavert, Dunlap; sister-in-law Ann Beavert; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Johnson-Lewis Cemetery. Condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com.
Arrangements by Putnam-Standefer-Reed Funeral Home, 50 May Road, Dunlap. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00-9:00 p.m. CDT.
