Dion G Bickford age 69, of the Griffith Community in Bledsoe County, TN died Saturday Sept. 6, 2014.
He was a Veteran of the United States Army Serving during the Vietnam Conflict.
His parents Otto and Sarah Keener Bickford; brothers, Charles, Lonnie, Leonard, and Harley; and sister Marie Long preceded him in death.
Surviving are his wife of 44 years Emma Johnson Bickford; one son Chris( Betty) Bickford, McMinnville, TN; two grandchildren Sadie and Elias Bickford; brother Arthur (Emma) Bickford, McMinnville, TN, Otis (Juanita) Bickford, Pikeville ; sisters Verna (Carl) Cope, Sparta, TN, Anna (Houston) Dodson, Opal Bowling, Pikeville, Jean Seals Bickford, Cookeville, TN, Evaughn Bickford, Pikeville; special nephew Shayne (Sherry) Bickford, Pikeville and several other nieces and nephews.
Services will be Monday at 1:00 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Wendal Harris officiating. The burial will be in Walling Cemetery. Memorial Contributions can be made to St. Judes Research Hospital or The American Cancer Society Hope Lodge in Nashville, TN Arrangements by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, Pikeville, TN. The family will receive friends Sunday 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. CDT.
