Earl Dwight "Red" Hankins, age 73 of Pikeville, passed away Sunday, August 10, 2014 in an Oak Ridge hospital.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charlie and Dora (Hale) Hankins, and two sibling sisters.
He is survied by his wife of 47 years Carlene Hankins; daughter Marchia (Dallas) Kilgore, Crossville; son Tommy (Starr) Hankins, Pikeville; two grandchildren Trey (Barbara) Kilgore, Brittany Kilgore; great-granddaughter Riley Kilgore; sisters Joann Essex, Pikeville; Rachel (Warren) Kerley, Pikeville; Mary (Phillip) Ewton, Dunlap; Betty Lentz, Iowa; brothers Claude "Cotton" Hankins, Crossville; Clarence "Hank" Hankins, Pikeville; several nieces and nephews.
Service will be Wednesday at 2:00 pm CDT in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Doyle Ashburn and Bro. Milton Ker officiating. Burial will be in McDowell Cemetery.
