Obituary of Flossie Lona Layne

Flossie Lona Elizabeth Roberts Layne died Sunday, August 31, 2008. She was much loved and a very tender and precious mom whom had been ill for many years, but continued to have the love of God in her heart. She was Church of God faith and was the last of twelve children of Alexander and Kitty Roberts.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Dillard Layne and daughter Melba Jean Layne.
She is survived by son Luna (Loretta) Layne, Dunlap; two daughters Rita (Clettis) McDaniel, Lesa "Lesha" ( Jeff) Rains; six grandchildren, Valerie (Robbie) Hendon, Karrie (Dion) Swafford, Shannon (Chris) Cunningham, Cassie (Gary) Hamblen, Blaine Layne, and Tayla Rains, eight great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held in the chapel Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at 1:00 pm CDT with Bro. Mike Stanifer officiating. Burial will be in Collier Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, Hwy 127 South, Pikeville, TN. The family will receive visitors Tuesday, September 2, from 4-9 pm CDT.
