Johnny Lee Yarbrough, Sr., age 84, of Jasper, TN., went to be with the Lord Thursday, June 26, 2014. He was a loving husband, father and a member of Riverside Baptist Church, Lookout Valley. He retired from Dixie Yarns.He was preceded in death by two sons, Marvin Lee Yarbrough and Jimmy Don Yarbrough Sr.; granddaughter, Brandy Taylor Ledford; brother, J.M. Songer.
He is survived by wife, Gertrude Yarbrough, two daughters, Dolores (Bill) Taylor and Gail (Troy) Goins, both of Chattanooga; son, Johnny Lee (Martha) Yarbrough, Jr., Jasper; daughter-in-law, Sharon Yarbrough, Whiteside, TN; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Maxine Songer, Pikeville.
Funeral services will be held Saturday 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Edward Lowrance and Rev. Anthony Baker officiating. Burial will be in the Collier Cemetery. Arrangements by Reed Funeral Home 11675 Hwy 28, Whitwell, TN. Family will receive friends Friday 1:00-9:00 p.m. CST. Special thanks to Hospice of Chattanooga for all their loving care and comfort.
