Obituary of Alene Detamore Dever

Arlene Detamore Dever, age 75, of Dunlap, TN died Sunday evening July 6, 2008 at Parkridge Medical Center. Her father was an Evangelist and Missionary for the Voice of Prophecy. She traveled with her parents through numerous countries as well as the united States. She authored a book entitled "Gods Living Dynamo" as a tribute to her father. She was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, a retired school teacher with 27 years teaching, 16 of those at the Seventh-Day Adventist School in Dunlap where her life's focus and ministry was teaching children.
She is survived by her husband Homer Dever, Dunlap; three daughters, Lorna Dever, Columbus, NC, Beth (Clayton) Brandt, Dayton, Ronda Dever, Dunlap; grandchildren, Ernie (Amber) Brandt, Ooletawah, Krish Brandt, India, Wanangwa Dever, Columbus, NC; sisters, Gwen (Chuck) Wiser, Cloverdale, Oregon, Kathy (Ron) Smith, Portland, Oregon.
A memorial service will be held Friday July 25, at the Cupbearer Ministry Church on Hwy. 28 South in Dunlap at 6:00 p.m. CDT.
All former students are invited to attend to express their memories of her.
