Obituary of Samuel Ronny Summers

Ronny "Rabbit" Summers, age 63 of Pikeville, died Saturday, April 5, 2014 at home after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Ronny loved fishing and trail riding with his brother, daughter, and granddaughter, and friends, and attending Lady Vol Basketball games.
Ronny was preceded in death by mother Effie Summers Farmer, father Claude Summers, step-father Sam Farmer; brothers Jimmy, Kenneth, Eddy, and Jerry Summers.
Survivors include wife of thirty-six years Linda Blye Summers; dauther Kelly (Chad) Hughey; granddaughters Ella and Elynn Hughey; sister Tina Brown (Dave) Goodland; brother Bobby (Olline) Summers.
Service will be Tuesday at 3:00 pm CDT in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Steven Brown officiating. Burial will be in Summer City Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, Hwy 127 South, Pikeville, TN. Visitation Monday 4-9 pm CDT and Tuesday 1-3 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Hospital or the Lymphoma/leukemia society.
