Deanna Faye Ellis Stanton, went home to be with Jesus on April 4, 2014. Hers was a life well lived. She was a true friend, doting Ghee-Ghee, nurturing mother and loving wife. Her true passion was serving the Lord with gladness. Bible study, listening to music, writing poetry, floral design and shoe shopping were among her many hobbies. A member of First Baptist Church of Dunlap, Tennessee.
She is survived by her beloved and devoted husband of 49 years and 9 months, Ralph Edward Stanton; daughter, Raecheal Elizabeth Stanton Todd and son-in-law, Ronald Todd, Williamsburg, VA; Grandson, William Stanton Bell was both the light of her life and her pride and joy. Nephew, Reagan Estes Ellis was like a son to her and Jan Ray was her best friend in the world. In true southern fashion, her age will forever remain a mysterious “29 and holding.”
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 7 at 1:00 p.m. CDT at Standefer-Reed Funeral Home with Pastor Jeremy Byrd officiating. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements by Standefer-Reed Funeral Home, 50 May Road, Dunlap. Family will receive friends Sunday, April 6 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. CDT.
