James Earl Evans, age 91 of Crossville, died Wednesday, March 26, 2014. He served in the United States Army during WWII.
Earl was preceded in death by parents Herbert and Minnie Evans; sister Eloise Singleton; brothers Gerald D. and Harold Evans.
Survivors include wife of sixty-five years Edna Evans; two sons Ron (Debra) Evans and Gary (Sandra) Evans, both of Ohio; grandchildren Mindy (Matt) Pohlabel; Amber (Aaron) Shaffer; Glen (Karen) Chambers; Matthew (Elizabeth) Evans; Michelle Evans (Brent
Wiles); nine great-grandchildren; sisters Evelyn (Bill) McCulley, Soddy Daisy; Juanita Ogburn, FL.; two brothers Donald (Esther) Evans, FL.; Milburn (Brenda) Evans, Ohio; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Service will be Saturday at 1:00 pm CDT in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Akins Cemetery in Cumberland County. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, Hwy 127 South, Pikeville, TN. Visitation Friday 4-8 pm CDT.
