Obituary of Edith Silba Underwood

Edith S. Underwood, age 74 of Pikeville, died March 7, 2014. She was of the Church of Christ faith. She was a retired nurse and a former nurse of twenty one years at STSRCF and various nursing homes in the area.
Edith was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Cora Fisher; grandchild, Carrie Saunders; sister, Anna Lou Fisher and a brother Franklin Fisher.
She is survived by her children, Johnny (Lisa) Layman, Pikeville; Guennia (Robert) Nale; Noel Underwood, Wayne (Elaine) Underwood all of Pikeville; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Rachel Gilbert and Alice Blackburn of Pikeville; brother, James A. "Buddy" (Karen) Fisher Sr., Pikeville; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Sunday at 2:00p.m. CST in the chapel. Burial will be in Walling Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com. Arrangements by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home 1171 Main Street, P.O. Box 750. Pikeville, TN. Visitation will be Saturday 5-9 and Sunday at 10:00a.mn. until funeral time.
